1. Learn web design

2. Establish your business and website

• Don’t worry about all the legalities just yet (LLC, insurance, taxes, etc.) Get your business rolling before you spend the time and money on these things *(Note I am not an attorney and this is not legal advice. Just my experience)
• You don’t need an award winning website/portfolio. A simple landing page will do for now. Now is the time to focus on things that will generate revenue NOW.
• You need to get basic tools and processes setup to help you run a smooth operation from day one. This video should help:

3. Figure out your pricing

Pricing projects can be hard (especially your first project). Here are some videos that will help you with pricing:

Your prices will increase as you get more experience so don’t be afraid to start low to get a few projects under your belt.
